Khaale Ha Treff Iخاله ها ترف

Khaale Ha, meaning "Aunties" in Farsi/Dari, is a term of respect used to address mature, experienced women. It perfectly reflects the essence of our project, designed for Farsi/Dari-speaking women aged 50 and above.

"Treff" (short for "Treffen") means "meeting" or "gathering" and it refers to a casual get-together, a social gathering.

Our initiative is carefully designed to meet the unique aspirations, experiences, and challenges of Farsi/Dari-speaking women, particularly those who are illiterate or have limited formal education.

By fostering social cohesion and reducing isolation, we create a safe and inclusive space that encourages intercultural exchange, cooperation, and dialogue through four key components:

  1. City Exploration Workshops: Participants use creative methods to learn how to navigate the city confidently.

  2. Practical German Language Sessions: These sessions emphasize essential communication skills for everyday interactions, utilizing role-playing, simple dialogues, and community immersion activities.

  3. Harmony & Healing: We support the mental and physical health of project participants by enhancing individual well-being through activities such as Trauma-Informed Yoga.

  4. Art as Self-Care: Through diverse artistic exploration using Intermodal Expressive Art, participants engage in self-expression and enhance their well-being.

All our sessions are held by a Farsi/Dari-speaking FLINTA* Community Facilitator.
